Kenya. 10th -20th October 2009

10 days of life the way it should be!

Imagine 10 days in sunny Kenya, just as Denmark is entering the depths of winter! Now imagine spending half the time training with a group of like-minded boxing enthusiasts, and half the time relaxing at the pool or taking in the local tourist sights. Live healthy for all ten days, work out every morning or retreat from the heat of the sun into the gym to work on conditioning and boxing training.

The Boxing

Come along on the trip and youll be improving your skills under the careful eye of the biggest name in modern Kenyan boxing: Ashira Oure.

Every morning we will do the traditional boxing workout involving cardio, abs work and going hard on punching bags and pads. Add in shadow boxing and weight training and weve made sure this active safari lives up to its name. Well also visit local boxing clubs, including Ashira Oures mother club, Transfix.

The Sightseeing

Theres something for everyone on this trip! Itll be nice and warm, so you can go snorkeling even swim with the dolphins. Part of the time will be spent visiting historical sites and other places of interest. Like the biggest crocodile farm in Africa Mamba Villager with over 3000 crocodiles. Well also be taking a trip to Mombasa‘s historic Fort Jesus, built by the Portuguese in the 18th century. And youll be able to enjoy a Tamarind evening Dhow featuring traditional Kenyan dancers.

On the safari side, we will be visiting Tsavo East (http://www.africanmeccasafaris.com/kenya/safaris/parks/tsavoeast.asp) the largest and oldest park in Kenya, which covers an area of 11,747 square kilometers and is famed for the man-eating lions now safely on display in American museums. Youll see the Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, rhino and buffalo. Its a wild-side trip that attracts tourists from around the globe to see, smell and hear these animals for an unforgettable lifetime experience.
